Cheeky-clean: Berlin's quirkiest laundromat
A trip to the laundrette isn't generally known for its fun-factor, but Freddy Leck's Moabit-based 'Waschsalon' puts an engaging spin on the task of completing the weekly wash.
Step inside, and you'll be greeted by a kitschy-cute interior complete with chandeliers and comfy, '50s style furnishings.
And if that's not enough to put a smile on your face, an in-house café, free wi-fi and bundles of reading material are on hand to relieve those washing day blues.
Freddy's laundromat is a top tip, of course, for travellers keen to experience an alternatively off-beat Berlin attraction and freshen up their clothing at the same time.
And with plenty of sights worth checking out in the area, (including, for a start, a spectacular sweep of gorgeously stuccoed Gründerzeit apartment blocks in Gotzkowskystraße itself) you can easily combine choring with a spot of exploring.
