Because the only thing required at this Prenzlauer Berg bar is to provide the soundtrack to some X-rated on-screen action.

That's right: at the steamy monthly 'Porno Karaoke', '70s skin-flicks are shown without the sound, leaving audience members to grab the mic and get vocal.

And for once, sounding like a strangled cat might just improve your performance.

We'll admit that this raunchy twist on the usual singalong isn't a destination for the shy, but plenty of up-for-it punters flock to the bar to take part. Free drinks are also on hand for those who dare to arrive in 'Trash-Porno-Outfits' - so let your imagination run very, very wild.

A craft beer destination with a fabulous, vaudeville vibe, its quirky interiors are matched by an colourful lineup of events, from bingo to burlesque and circus acts. Sexy!

Update! The Porno Karaoke sessions no longer take place at zum Starken August, but at sister bar Toast Hawaii. Also located in Prenzlauer Berg at Danziger Strasse 1 - just a hop, skip and jump from Eberswalder Strasse U-Bahn.
